Early Years

We know that being a parent can come with its ups and downs and we specialise in offering early support to parents of young children. We’re here to work with you to build your confidence in supporting your child, helping them grow in confidence and build their self-esteem and ultimately help family life feel calmer and more connected.  Getting support early can make a big difference—preventing small challenges from becoming bigger problems later on.

Building Positive Attachment Relationships and Supporting Behaviour Difficulties

The relationship between a parent and child is central to a child’s emotional wellbeing and development. We support parents in strengthening these early bonds by fostering positive, secure attachment relationships. Together, we explore ways to build connections to help children feel safe, understood, and supported.

We recognise that young children will often present with behaviour that is challenging. We work alongside families to understand the reasons behind challenging behaviours and to develop practical strategies that encourage positive change. Our approach combines warmth and evidence-based guidance, supporting parents to respond with confidence while maintaining a nurturing relationship.

Supporting Sleep Difficulties

Sleep challenges in the early years are very common and we recognise how physically and emotionally demanding this can be for parents. We recognise there is lots of information out there about how to support infants and children with their sleep, but our approach brings a psychological perspective to understanding and managing these difficulties, taking into account the emotional, developmental, and relational factors that influence a child’s sleep. We work with parents to identify underlying causes and to introduce practical, evidence-based strategies that are tailored to each family’s needs. Whether it’s establishing supportive routines, managing frequent night waking, or addressing anxieties around sleep, our approach is both compassionate and realistic. By considering the broader psychological context, we aim to improve sleep for children while also supporting parents’ wellbeing and confidence.
